Case Study: FASTSIGNS

FASTSIGNS provides comprehensive visual communications solutions to help customers of all sizes – across all industries – meet their business objectives and increase their business visibility.

The Challenge

Every day FASTSIGNS centers receive electronically transferred graphic files from customers in over 530 locations across 8 different countries worldwide. FASTSIGNS uses customer graphics files to provide project estimates or to create signs, exhibits and other visual graphics. With more customers utilizing electronic transfers each year, FASTSIGNS had a growing need for a robust file management system that could consistently transfer and temporarily store graphic files. Providing FASTSIGNS centers a reliable system to quickly process and access customer files was critical to maintaining its business success.

The Solution

A tablet with a magnifying glass and a padlock.

The solution utilizes a SendThisFile Dedicated Enterprise plan to handle and distribute the file traffic load in the United States, Canada and Grand Cayman, and combines SendThisFile's flexible API to pass unique software parameters to a FASTSIGNS database. The new database tracks interrupted transfers through a process called 'transfer reconciliation', enabling FASTSIGNS to have a granular view of their customer transfer status down to the file level, for every FASTSIGNS center.

The Results

A computer screen with a peace sign and graph

Over 2.3 terabytes of data sent and more than 14,000 secure file transfers per month, without the need for additional staff

SendThisFile provides a consistent delivery of transferred files and simplified the management of inbound files for improved productivity at both the corporate headquarters and individual center locations.
